Justin Fryer is already getting high-leverage looks for Northwestern
In the 2026 season, the first-year left-hander has worked in important spots for Northwestern, including a save and a start, showing the coaching staff trusts him early in big moments. He’s a compact 6-foot southpaw with a reported ability to hold tempo and stay controlled, which is a nice base for a college arm; the tradeoff is that his early-season line has been a mixed bag, with some outings showing command wobble. If you want a young, left-handed pitcher with upside and toughness, he’s worth a look.
