Austin Hooey brings prototype size and fresh upside to Columbia’s offensive line
In the 2026 season, Austin Hooey is a 6-foot-6, 260-pound freshman offensive lineman from Cranford, N.J., giving Columbia a classic Ivy League build with long-term development upside. His biggest differentiators are frame, room to add power, and the kind of freshman-year projection that coaches love on the offensive line: teachable, sturdy, and built to absorb college strength work. Because he’s early in his career, the real question is not production yet but whether his size and developmental curve fit a program looking for a tackle/guard mold to grow into.
