Marcos Paz brings starter-level upside, but command is the swing skill
Paz is a high-upside right-hander whose loud arm strength and pitch mix have made him one of LSU’s most intriguing arms, with evaluators noting a low-effort delivery, a fastball that can reach the mid-90s, and a changeup that already flashes as a real weapon. In his lone LSU season in 2026, he posted a 9.20 ERA with 40 strikeouts in 29.1 innings, but also 27 walks, showing the raw stuff is real while the strike-throwing still needs work. He’s a good fit for a team that values ceiling and development.
