Josh Cunningham brings swing-and-miss polish and Saturday-starter upside for SLU
In the 2025 season, Josh Cunningham emerged as a legit rotation arm for Saint Louis, finishing 5-2 with a 4.48 ERA, 51 strikeouts in 68.1 innings, and a strong 4.01 ERA in conference play; he also earned Atlantic 10 All-Tournament Team honors and was named a Top 200 starting pitcher by D1 Baseball. He’s a right-hander who already showed freshman-to-sophomore growth, can work deep into games, and has enough stuff to miss bats without getting rattled—exactly the kind of steady, competitive arm a staff can trust.
