Branson Combs brings veteran, all-conference production to Wake Forest’s linebacker room
Combs was a plug-and-play impact transfer for Wake Forest in the 2024 season, finishing with 94 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery while earning Second-Team All-ACC honors. He stands out for his range, ball skills and run defense, and his path matters too: after switching from receiver to linebacker at Southern Illinois, he kept climbing and has now been an all-conference defender for three straight seasons.
