Coleman is a 6'3", 223-pound quarterback who arrives at James Madison after a strong 2024 at Richmond, where he started 10 games, threw for 2,031 yards and 14 total passing touchdowns, and added 342 rushing yards with 6 rushing TDs. His appeal is more than the box score: he showed enough mobility to stress defenses, earned Third Team All-CAA honors, and posted one of the better QB PFF grades at the FCS level in 2024. For JMU, he looks like a legitimate competition-level starter with proven production and dual-threat value.
