6-foot-4 righty with starter’s frame, but 2026 results still lag
Howarth is a **big-bodied right-handed pitcher** with a starter’s build and a track record of being used as a **starter** at La Salle, which suggests the staff trusts his competitiveness and durability.[1][4][9] In the 2026 season, he has made **nine starts**, thrown **24.1 innings**, struck out **16**, and gone **0-3 with a 10.73 ERA**, so the production has been uneven even though the role is significant.[1][4] He’s the kind of arm that can still intrigue a program if it values projection, but right now the fit is more about upside and development than immediate weekend-anchor dominance.[1][4][5]
