Amaad Foston brings proven big-play pedigree, but Hampton still needs the full return to form
Foston is a physically imposing, high-upside **power back** with a standout high-school résumé — including 2,772 rushing yards and 46 touchdowns in 2019 — and Hampton describes him as an explosive runner with good speed, power, vision and balance.[1][8] He has only 8 career college carries for 52 yards across Virginia and Hampton, and Hampton notes he saw limited action at Virginia due to injury, so the key question is availability and whether he can translate that pedigree into consistent production.[2][8] If you want a back with real burst and touchdown upside, he is worth a look; if you need a proven every-down college producer, the sample is still very small.[1][2][8]
