JR Tollett has become Louisiana’s swing-and-miss, strike-throwing workhorse
In the 2025 season, JR Tollett emerged as a legit Cajuns weapon: a 3.51 ERA in 77 innings with 63 strikeouts and just 12 walks, capped by a complete-game shutout with 11 Ks and zero walks against James Madison. He’s a big-bodied righty (6-3, 210) who attacks the zone, limits free passes, and has shown he can handle longer outings and even close when needed. If you want a pitcher with poise, command, and starter upside, he looks like a strong fit.
