Contact-first INF with limited 2026 impact so far
Eli Selby is a 5'9", 185-pound right/left infielder for UIC, but the 2026 stat line available publicly shows he has not yet produced meaningful offensive numbers, including a .000 average in limited action.[1][2][3] The fit question is less about flash and more about role: he looks like a depth piece whose value would come from contact skills, versatility, and doing the little things well rather than carrying an offense.[1][3]
