big-frame freshman arm with a fearless pitch mix, but 2026 was wiped out by injury
In the 2026 season, Grand Canyon freshman RHP Andrew Lyon missed the year with an injury, so the big question is health rather than stat production. The draw is the upside: he’s a 6-foot-3, 200-pound righty with an advanced three-pitch mix, the ability to attack with any pitch in any count, and a reputation for pitching fearless; his prep résumé also included a 2.61 ERA, 61 strikeouts, and a state title run where he was MVP of the 4A playoffs.
