Ball-Hawking Local Product Growing Into a Real Safety Prospect
Kwasie Kwaku Jr. is a Daytona Beach native and Bethune-Cookman safety who brings a nice blend of athletic bloodlines, local pedigree, and ball skills; at Mainland High he was a first-team all-area defensive back in 2023 and 2024 and led Volusia County in interceptions as a senior, which is the kind of playmaking that jumps off a scout’s page. In his 2025 freshman season at Bethune-Cookman, he appeared in four games and recorded one tackle, so the production is still developing, but the upside is in the instincts, competitiveness, and upside-to-grow profile that can fit a team looking for a young defensive back with a nose for the ball.
