Dom Ruggiero brings late-inning bite and poise to Richmond’s bullpen
In the 2026 season, Richmond freshman left-hander Dom Ruggiero emerged as a trusted high-leverage reliever, logging 25.2 innings across 21 appearances with a 3.51 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, five saves, and 28 strikeouts, while holding opponents to a .215 average and earning Atlantic 10 All-Rookie honors. He stands out for his ability to handle pressure, finish innings cleanly, and miss bats in weekend-series spots — the kind of calm, competitive arm coaches love when the game gets weird.
