Cornell guard Troy Whiteside: steady depth piece with Ivy size and experience
Troy Whiteside is a 6'4" Cornell guard whose value comes more from fit and versatility than box-score pop: in 2018-19 he averaged 2.5 points and 1.0 rebounds over 26 games with 15 starts, and recruiting records list him as a shooting guard with Ivy League length and experience. His differentiators are size for the backcourt, a four-year Cornell career, and a reputation as a dependable role player rather than a high-usage scorer. If you need a low-drama, coachable guard who can absorb a role and understand a system, he fits; if you need a primary creator, he is not that profile.
