In the 2025-26 season, Shawn Long appeared in 24 games for Catawba and averaged 2.7 points per game while shooting 81.0% from the free-throw line, a nice little marker of touch and composure for a freshman guard.[1][3] He also showed real upside in bursts, including a career-high nine points in 10 minutes off the bench against Carson-Newman and an 11-point outing in a later win, hinting at a spark-plug scorer who can provide bench energy.[9][10] At 6-foot-5, he brings size for the perimeter, and the early read is a guard who can grow into a valuable two-way connector if the shot continues to come along.[6][7]
