Samantha Blachly brings freshman pop, poise, and run-production upside to SJSU
In the 2026 season, Samantha Blachly is a 5-foot-11 freshman infielder at San José State who already looks like a bat-to-ball corner piece with clutch RBI upside. She earned her way into the lineup by producing early run support, including a two-run double and multiple RBI moments for the Spartans, while her high-school resume shows top-state recognition, a Player of the Year award, and first-team all-state infield honors in Oregon. The fit? Athletic, competitive, and still rising — exactly the kind of player coaches love to mold.
