veteran UCSB lefty bringing poise, pedigree, and strike-throwing upside
Grace Luderer entered UC Santa Barbara as a proven arm after earning WAC Freshman of the Year honors at Seattle University, and at UCSB she’s shown strikeout ability and innings-eating potential, including a 2025 line of 47.1 innings with a 3.40 ERA before a season-ending injury. In 2026, UCSB listed her in the rotation/roster again, and her value is less about flash than about feel, composure, and competitive toughness — the kind of pitcher who can stabilize a staff if she’s healthy.
