Mack Mulhern could be LSU’s long-term special teams anchor
In 2026, Mack Mulhern arrives at LSU as a redshirt freshman long snapper with four years of eligibility left, and the appeal is simple: specialists win hidden-yardage battles. He was a highly regarded specialist recruit out of Horizon High in Arizona, redshirted at Florida in 2025 without game action, and followed LSU special teams coach Joe Houston to Baton Rouge. For a team fit, that means reliability, continuity, and a low-drama profile—exactly what you want from a long snapper.
