Scott Longo brings local-arm toughness and championship pedigree to Northeastern
Longo is a left-handed freshman with a compact 5-foot-10, 190-pound frame who arrives at Northeastern with real winning baggage: a 2023 Massachusetts state title, Bay State MVP honors, and three MIAA Player of the Year finalist nods. He’s more than a “local kid story,” though—his profile screams competitive, versatile, and battle-tested, with enough strike-throwing and lefty deception to project as a useful staff piece. The fit is strongest for a team that values mound feel, makeup, and a pitcher who has already performed in high-pressure environments.
