Developing UNC Greensboro lefty with standout strike-throwing upside
Hester enters UNC Greensboro as a promising **left-handed pitcher** whose amateur profile points to real upside: Prep Baseball lists a strong **curveball**, a max fastball of **82 mph** in Perfect Game’s data, and athletic tools that suggest he can keep improving as he adds strength and polish[4][7]. At West Davidson in 2025-26, he also showed impact with the bat, posting a **.444 average** and **.545 on-base percentage** in 20 games, which hints at a competitive, multi-skill athlete[1].
