Zak White brings live-arm upside for Butler, but the command has been the story
In the 2026 season, Butler right-hander Zak White has flashed strikeout ability, but his run prevention has been shaky, including a rough outing on April 21, 2026 when he was charged with his second loss after recording no outs and allowing three earned runs. He fits as an upside play for teams that can develop raw stuff and sharpen command; the separator is not just arm talent, but whether his strike-throwing becomes more reliable under pressure. A worthwhile arm if you like projection, but not a plug-and-play polish piece.
