6-4, power righty Logan Waldschmidt gives New Orleans a JUCO-title pedigree
Logan Waldschmidt is a 6-foot-4, 225-pound right-hander with a real power-pitcher frame and a résumé that includes winning a JUCO national title at Pasco-Hernando State, which tells you he’s been in big-game environments and handled pressure well[3][5]. New Orleans listed him as a 2026 graduate-student pitcher, but his season stats were not available on the roster page, so the best read is his track record and reported arsenal: a fastball around 88-91 mph, a slider, and a changeup, giving him a three-pitch mix that can play if the command is sharp[1][5]. If you want an experienced, competitive arm with upside rather than a finished product, he’s the kind of pitcher worth a close look[1][3][5].
