Sophie Moshos has become App State’s left-handed ace with big-workload, high-strikeout poise
In the 2026 season, Sophie Moshos anchored App State’s rotation as a left-handed pitcher, posting a team-low 3.31 ERA with 108 strikeouts in 158.2 innings and a team-high 25 starts, while also collecting three saves. She earned Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week honors in 2025 after dominating James Madison, and App State labeled her the ace for a reason: volume, stamina, and late-inning flexibility. The appeal here is real—she’s battle-tested, competitive, and valuable in multiple roles, especially for teams needing a durable starter who can also close.
