North Dakota’s Easton Choate: young specialist with real leg strength and upside
Easton Choate enters 2026 as a redshirt freshman kicker/punter for North Dakota, and the eye test from recruiting plus game usage says there’s intriguing specialist upside. In 2024 at Syracuse HS, he hit 14-of-18 field goals, set the school record for field goals made, nailed seven from 40-plus yards, and averaged 39.6 yards per punt; evaluators also praised his ability to drive the ball into the end zone with 3.9+ hang time. He’s a developmental fit if you want a confident, multi-role leg with room to grow.
