Javian Osborne brings big-play juice and downhill balance to Notre Dame
Javian Osborne arrived in South Bend as one of the 2026 class’s top running backs, with recruiting services placing him as high as No. 6 nationally at RB and No. 81 overall, and his high school résumé screams volume-bellcow: 6,602 rushing yards and 107 touchdowns. He’s built like a compact, contact-balanced runner with quick feet, a sharp jump cut, and enough burst to hit the hole fast, though scouts note he’s more of a first-15-yards power/slash back than a true open-field burner. He also entered Notre Dame with a wrist injury that limited spring work, so the fit is best if you want a tough, efficient, complementary runner who can grind and finish drives.
