Gregory Wardlaw brings old-school linebacker juice to Charleston Southern
In the 2024 season, Gregory Wardlaw was a redshirted freshman at Charleston Southern, so the on-field sample is limited, but the upside is clear: he arrived as a high-production high school defender with 200-plus tackles and 10 sacks across his final two prep seasons, including 114 tackles, eight sacks, two forced fumbles and six touchdowns as a senior. Charleston Southern described him as a player who “never comes off the field,” is “twitchy,” and will “strike you,” which screams motor, versatility and downhill violence. If you want a hungry, physical LB with real special-teams and developmental upside, he’s a fun bet.
