Max McEwen brings a high-strikeout, power-arm profile to Indiana State’s rotation
McEwen is a right-handed starter who has already shown real swing-and-miss upside for Indiana State, finishing 2025 with a 6-3 record, 4.63 ERA, 64 strikeouts and a .223 opponent average over 58.1 innings, and he was earning Second Team All-MVC recognition before a season-ending injury cut his year short. He looks like a fit for teams that value competitive mound presence, strikeout ability and a pitcher who can miss bats when his stuff is on, though his 31 walks in 2025 suggest command is the key separator between good and dominant.
