Chris Bacon is emerging as Maine’s disruptive edge-force
In the 2025 season, Maine redshirt junior DL Chris Bacon broke out as a full-time starter, posting 35 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, eight QB hurries, two pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He’s not just a stat-sheet guy: preseason All-CAA recognition and local coverage describe him as a high-motor, impact defender who can wreck plays in the backfield and bring real edge energy. If your team wants a physically mature, proven, chaos-creating DL who keeps showing up on big downs, Bacon is absolutely worth the attention.
