Artis Cleveland

Artis Cleveland gives Alabama State a true paint anchor

Artis Cleveland’s profile is built on size and interior value: Alabama State listed him at 7-foot-0 and 245 pounds in the 2016-17 roster, and the Hornets’ signing release said he brought 6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 blocks per game from Lawson State. He looks like the kind of center who changes the feel of a game with rim protection, rebounding and simple, physical basketball rather than flashy scoring. If your team wants a low-drama, high-impact big who can occupy space and protect the lane, Cleveland fits the bill.
