Simone Mack brings preseason buzz and bullpen depth for NCCU
In the 2026 season, Simone Mack entered as a preseason All-MEAC pick after earning All-MEAC third-team honors as a freshman, and North Carolina Central continues to lean on her as a relief arm with big-game poise. She flashed the ability to miss bats and handle pressure last year, including two no-hit innings in a save against Maryland Eastern Shore, and she adds depth behind NCCU’s primary starters. The caveat: her 2026 results have been uneven, so she looks more like a high-upside fit than a polished ace right now.
