Experienced guard with proven scoring touch and steady backcourt production
Avery Patterson is a 6-2 guard whose most recent Alcorn State season showed reliable all-around production, averaging 6.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 20.4 minutes per game, while adding 19 threes and 40 free throws made.[7][4] He profiles as a seasoned, low-drama rotation piece rather than a headline-chasing star, with enough shooting and ball-handling to help stabilize a second unit or complement higher-usage scorers.[7][3] If you want an experienced guard who can give you competent minutes and do a bit of everything, he is a sensible fit.[7][4]
