the Big Sky’s steady, tackle-hungry linebacker with real workhorse traits
In the 2025 season, Mayson Hitchens led Weber State with 91 tackles and added three passes defended, showing the kind of every-down reliability coaches love from the second level. At 6-foot-1 and around 220 pounds, he brings downhill physicality, strong pursuit, and proven production over three seasons, including 148 career tackles in 28 games at Weber State. The eye-test fit is pretty clean: he looks like a volume tackler with enough experience, contact willingness, and toughness to stabilize a defense.
