Sam Ametrano brings glove-first value and academic reliability to Quinnipiac’s outfield
Ametrano is a low-volume but dependable Quinnipiac outfielder whose biggest calling card is his defense and professionalism: his roster profile notes a 2025 MAAC All-Academic Team selection, and his college usage has been limited so far, with seven appearances, two runs scored, and just one at-bat in 2025. His high-school profile showed solid defensive indicators, including a perfect fielding percentage in limited action and above-average speed tools, which suggests a role fit centered on range, athleticism, and situational value rather than proven offensive production.
