Jailyn Gibbs brings twitchy, high-upside linebacker juice to ACU
Jailyn Gibbs is a 6-0, 225-pound redshirt sophomore linebacker for Abilene Christian who arrived with real playmaking baggage from high school: 68 tackles and 12 sacks as a senior, plus a junior year with 77 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, nine sacks, and 57 quarterback pressures. ACU lists him as a developing piece who has already appeared in games, and that background screams disruptive, downhill defender with a motor that clearly doesn’t take naps. If your team wants range, pressure, and a hitter who can live in the backfield, Gibbs is the kind of fit that makes coaches grin.
