Carly Goodwin looks like a high-upside strikeout arm for Northern Iowa
Goodwin brings a proven power-pitching profile to Northern Iowa, headlined by elite command and run prevention at the high-school level, where she posted a 0.19 ERA, 325 strikeouts, and just seven walks in 144.2 innings while also hitting .433 with 41 RBI[1]. That kind of two-way production suggests she can impact a staff as both a stopper and a competitive bat, and her leadership, academic discipline, and community involvement point to a mature, high-accountability addition who should fit well in a program that values consistency and intensity[1].
