Kaylen Grammer gives SIU a steady, low-drama arm with high-school pedigree
In the 2026 season, Southern Illinois pitcher Kaylen Grammer has been a depth piece with a clean, efficient outing in her first Saluki appearance, working 1.0 scoreless inning with one hit and one strikeout against Bradley on March 13, 2026. The bigger draw is her track record: at St. Charles CC, she logged 394 strikeouts across two seasons, including 226 in 2025, and posted a 17-9 record with a 2.10 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. She looks like a competitive, strike-throwing transfer who can give you innings and poise, not just arm talent.
