Donavan Jeffrey brings real pop, but the bat still has to catch up
In the 2026 season, Miami freshman infielder Donavan Jeffrey appeared in limited action and hit .167 with 2 hits, 2 RBI, and 4 runs, which says more about his early role than his ceiling.[1][9] What makes him interesting is the physicality: he’s a 6-1, 220-pound right-handed bat with power-first traits and a reputation as a strong, high-upside corner-infield type.[1][4][6] He also flashed in scrimmage play with an extra-base hit, but for now he looks more like a developmental fit than an instant impact guy.[13]
