Tyler Johns brings left-handed upside and real bullpen intrigue at Elon
Tyler Johns is a left-handed arm with a two-way recruiting pedigree, and Elon liked his ability to attack both sides of the plate with a fastball and a breaking ball when he arrived in 2024. In his 2024 freshman season, he made 12 bullpen appearances and logged a 14.34 ERA over 10.2 innings, so the raw results lagged the stuff—but the profile still screams development candidate. He also earned CAA academic high honors in 2026, a small but useful clue about work habits and coachability. If you want a projectable LHP with left-on-left value and upside, he’s worth a look.
