MJ Thomas brings frontcourt production and rebound grit to the Privateers
In the 2024-25 season, freshman forward MJ Thomas became a reliable interior piece for New Orleans, averaging 11.2 points and 7.8 rebounds while starting 27 of 31 games. He flashed real upside with a 32-point, 11-rebound breakout at UIW and led the Southland Conference in offensive rebounding at 3.1 per game, which is exactly the kind of hustle stat that travels. At 6-foot-8 and 205 pounds, he looks like a strong fit for teams needing toughness, second-chance scoring, and a high-motor forward who keeps possessions alive.
