6'6" RHP Josh Holley brings UAB a power arm with strikeout pop
In the 2025 season, Josh Holley emerged as a useful UAB arm, going 4-1 with one save, 41 strikeouts in 36.2 innings, a 10.06 K/9, and a 3.93 ERA while leading the Blazers in appearances; the 6'6", 220-pound junior from Demopolis, Ala., gives off the classic big-righty profile with length, leverage, and relief upside. He also carries a notable durability footnote: he previously redshirted because of Tommy John surgery, so the selling point is impact stuff with some injury-history caution baked in. For a team needing a power bullpen piece, he looks like the kind of arm that can miss bats and shorten games.
