Davis Andrews brings size, recruiting pedigree, and real upside to Utah’s safety room
In the 2026 season, Utah freshman safety Davis Andrews arrives as a 6-foot-3, 200-pound former three-star recruit who was ranked the No. 5 player in Utah by 247Sports and earned two-time All-State honors in high school. His appeal is the blend of length, physicality, and runway: Utah added him after a two-year mission, and analysts noted he could push for playing time because the skills are there and he was high on the staff’s board coming out of American Fork. He looks like a fit for a program that loves versatile defensive backs who can hit and cover.
