Ryan King has emerged as Cal State Bakersfield’s go-to Friday arm
In the 2026 season, Ryan King showed frontline starter traits for Cal State Bakersfield: a 4-6 record, 4.95 ERA, 63.2 innings, and 56 strikeouts, with one standout gem coming on May 15 when he fired seven scoreless innings to beat UC Irvine.[1][3] He’s a durable 6-foot-5 right-hander who has already handled big-leverage starts, including a 2025 stretch where he led the team’s qualified pitchers in ERA and worked into games deep enough to look like a future weekend anchor.[1][2]
