Norfolk State’s Freshman QB Who Brings Size, Legs, and a Clean Start
Ty Jackson is a 2026 freshman quarterback at Norfolk State who has opened the season active and efficient, completing 1-of-1 passes for 5 yards and adding 18 rushing yards on 2 carries in the 2026 opener. At 6-3, 215, he already has the frame to handle college QB contact, and the early stat line hints at a dual-threat profile with some burst as a runner. With no reported news or injury issues showing up in the available coverage, he looks like a developmental fit for a team that wants upside, mobility, and a long runway rather than instant finished-product polish.
