Craig Orlando has emerged as a sturdy, high-effort defensive lineman for North Dakota, and in the 2024 season he started every game, finished with 28 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and four quarterback hurries. His calling cards are consistency, leverage, and game-to-game toughness—he also flashed with a blocked extra point and a two-sack outing against No. 4 Montana, which says plenty about his motor and punch. He looks like the kind of dependable, academically grounded locker-room fit coaches love: not flashy, but disruptive, disciplined, and built to help a defense win ugly.
