Elijah Mayes brings veteran point-guard savvy and low-drama leadership to FAMU
In the 2016-17 season, Elijah Mayes was a steady Florida A&M guard who led the team in assists and steals while averaging 5.4 points per game, a profile that screams connective tissue more than box-score fireworks.[6] He also has a real résumé as a senior captain and starting point guard, with previous production of 6.1 points and 3.2 assists per game, which suggests he can organize an offense, defend with intent, and keep a team composed when the pace gets messy.[2] If your squad wants a reliable table-setter who competes, communicates, and doesn’t need the spotlight to matter, he’s the kind of guard coaches trust.
