Janae Walker brings size, rim protection, and rebound upside for Rutgers
Walker is a 6-3 forward whose value is built more on defense and board work than scoring: in 2025-26, she played 28 games, made 15 starts, and averaged 2.6 points and 3.5 rebounds, with a 10-rebound game and a career-high nine points.[5] Earlier at Kentucky, she showed the same profile—limited offense, but real rim-protection flashes, including leading the team in blocks multiple times as a freshman.[5][13] She projects as a useful fit for teams needing length, physicality, and low-usage frontcourt minutes rather than a featured scorer.[11]
