Danny Shaban is Colgate’s early-season workhorse after a breakout opener
In the 2026 season, Colgate RB Danny Shaban has already flashed as a physical, high-volume runner, putting up 214 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 28 carries in the opener at Fordham while adding 26 receiving yards for 240 all-purpose yards. He looks like the kind of back who can punish defenses between the tackles, finish runs, and also stay on the field in passing situations. The biggest reason to care: he’s already earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors, which is a pretty loud “pay attention” signal for a junior with momentum.
