Boston University G Alex Vilarino brings efficient scoring and steady all-around guard play
Alex Vilarino has shown he can be a useful two-way backcourt piece for Boston University, highlighted by 2020-21 production of 6.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game while starting 14 of 29 games and shooting 44.7% from the field[2]. He also flashed versatility with a 12-point, 6-assist, 5-rebound game at South Carolina and a near triple-double against George Washington, which suggests a guard who competes hard, makes others better, and can fit as a complementary playmaker rather than a pure volume scorer[2].
