Patrick McDonnell is a tackling machine for Robert Morris
In the 2025 season, Patrick McDonnell emerged as one of Robert Morris’ defensive tone-setters, piling up 112 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and a Big 12-opening 12-tackle game at West Virginia with a fumble recovery[5][7][8]. He stands out for his rangy, high-motor play, solo-tackle production, and knack for showing up against bigger competition; the buzz around him is simple: he plays like a linebacker who’s allergic to missing the ball carrier[5][12][13].
