Darby Weller brings speed, gap power, and steadiness to Fairfield’s outfield mix
In the 2026 season, Darby Weller was a useful junior reserve for Fairfield, appearing in 21 games, scoring 9 runs, stealing 3 bases, and posting a .400 on-base percentage with a .956 OPS while handling all 6 outfield chances cleanly. She isn’t just a box-score cameo: the left side of her game is speed and opportunism, and the right side is contact quality, with two of her three hits going for doubles. For a roster looking for an energetic, low-mistake outfielder who can create pressure on the bases and play clean defense, she’s a sneaky-good fit.
